What is Physiotherapy?
Physiotherapy has become a common and effective way of treating medical conditions, injuries and other such barriers which limit mobility and overall quality of life. Physiotherapists are trained to diagnose and identify the source and origins of the patient’s concern. Based on their diagnosis, Physiotherapists then develop a comprehensive strategy to restore mobility.

Origins
Did you know that the profession of physiotherapy traces its roots back to the 4th century BCE? However, the field of physiotherapy began to develop in earnest during the late 18th century and the first half of the 19th century, particularly in North America and Western Europe. During the polio outbreak of 1916, many people were paralyzed. Doctors and particularly nurses developed several strength training mechanisms to restore mobility to people who had become paralyzed by the disease.
