Acupuncture

Acupuncture is used to encourage natural healing, improve mood and energy, reduce or relieve pain and improve function of the effected areas of the body. It is a safe, effective and often successfully use as an alternative to medications or even surgery.

What is Acupuncture?

Acupuncture is a form of ancient Chinese medicine that involves the insertion of thin needles into particular points on the body. The insertion of needles into the specific points on the body activates a variety of therapeutic responses that promote healing. Acupuncture is an effective way to treat pain, mood disorders and heal damaged tissue.

The Theory Behind Acupuncture

Acupuncture is a central aspect of traditional Chinese medicine. The aim of acupuncture is to stimulate the flow of ‘qi’ or energy throughout meridian systems. According to traditional Chinese medicine- disease, illness and body dysfunctions- are caused by a disruption of the flow of ‘qi’ through the body’s meridians. Mastery over the flow of ‘qi’ is also central to other well-known Chinese traditions such as Feng Shui and Martial Arts.
