What to expect on my first visit?
You’ll be asked about your medical background—previous injuries, surgeries, chronic conditions, medications, and lifestyle habits—to help the therapist understand your overall health. Either a Chiropractor or Physiotherapist will assess how your body moves, functions and understand the root cause of your symptoms. They will discuss how often you should come for treatment, depending on your condition and goals. Some people need regular sessions in the beginning, while others might only need occasional check-ins.
• The therapist will help you get into a specialized wrap for your injured or sore body part (e.g., knee, shoulder, ankle).
• You’ll be comfortably positioned — seated or lying down.
• Cold water and air pressure will begin flowing through the wrap.
• You’ll feel:
o Cold therapy: Like an ice pack, but more even and consistent.
o Compression: A gentle squeezing and releasing sensation.
• A typical session lasts 20–30 minutes.
• It’s quiet and pain-free — many people just relax during the session.
• The wrap is removed, and you may feel:
o Numbness or stiffness (normal and temporary)
o Reduced swelling and pain
• You can resume normal activities or therapy afterward
